? re: congestion / sickie
Katie has a pretty bad runny nose and congestion. She coughs and you can hear how much congestion there is by her cough alone...I don't really know how to describe it, but it is not a dry cough.
I know not to give her any thing for colds and such, but is there anything other than a humidifier that would help?
Can her milk congest her even more?
Re: ? re: congestion / sickie
Aw poo thing! Sick babies are the worse. The are so helpless.
Keep suctioning out those boogers!??Marley was really congested a few months ago. The humidifier didn't work for us. You can rub Vicks on her feet & then put socks on them. Vicks also makes a plug-in thingy that I think helped (DH swears it didn't). I was also worried about the milk. Her pedi said to give her warm drinks (water, diluted apple juice, diluted gatorade, etc.)
Good luck!?
?
Truly the best thing was keeping the mucus from getting in her throat/swallowing it. She hated it, but I was suctioning her nose every few minutes.
Oh - her pedi also suggested getting her to sleep somewhat propped up (oppose to laying flat) so the mucus can drain better while she sleeps. Marley sleeps like a wild child, so that didn't work. But when I had her sleep in bed with me, I propped her up with the pillows and she slept so much better. HTH
