So lets start talking!
What did everyone do for NYE? What are your NY resolutions?
Re: no one talks on here...
Well, I guess I'll comment on my own post since no one else has yet.
NYE we went to see, The Curious Case of Benjaman Button, after that, we went home to have a few drinks. Pretty low key, but it was fun.
NYE...did dinner w/DH, BIL and his girlfriend. Then a house party in the city. Nothing too crazy!
Resolutions? I want to be a happier, more positive person. I've been so stressed with work this past year that I think I have taken it out on DH and my friends. Working to change that...will be starting a new job in March! Also, want to continue what I have been doing late in 2008, which is working out regularly.
I would agree with your post, I want to be a more positive person. I want to enjoy the summertime more because it gets too cold too fast. I want to learn to love my husband more everyday.
What type of work do you do? Its so difficult sometimes not to take your stress from work out on others. That's something I need to work on.
I'll talk! For NYE I stayed home and had champagne with my hubby. We both worked NYE and NY day so it was a boring end of the year for us.
I don't really make resolutions but I'm really trying to focus on getting healthier and being happy with myself.
Thanks for responding. That stinks you worked both NYE and NY day. I was thankfully off both days, but my hubby had to work NY day.
We had a small party at the house with a few friends to ring in the new year--great friends food and drinks--its always a winning combo!
I don't really make NY resolutions anymore since I don't stick to them when I did. but Dh wants to pay off more debt/bills this year and not worry too much about money.
I just went with friends to dinner and a bar nearby. Mine are to be more decisive and to budget better.
For NYE, we went to a nice dinner with friends and then over to their house to play Wii and hang out till the ball dropped. Low-key and relaxing.
I didn't really make a NY resolution. I'm going to try to cut down on my Diet Coke intake, keep up with our budget, and just be a more positive person.

Happy New Year!
We just went to my parents' house and played games and watched the ball drop on TV. Very relaxing.
My goals for 2009 (I can't call them resolutions, or they'll never work!) are to get healthy (lose at least 60 pounds), manage our money better, and take at least two fun vacations with DH. Last year, he had a new job and we couldn't fit in any time off together.
We just had DH's cousin and wife over and played Wii all night.
We decided to make some "couples" NY resolutions this year. One of them is to run a 5k together and another is to shut the TV off during dinner...haha.
Seems like the Wii was popular that night! We love playing the Wii and Rock Band. My husband sometimes more than me but we have fun.
Hello!
DH and I went to the Dominican for the week of New Years! It was our belated honeymoon, and I was so glad to get away from the cold for a week. Plus, I loved spending NYE with just DH instead of a big group of people.
My resolutions are to be more productive at work (although I'm at work as I'm typing this) and to save.save.save so hopefully we can buy a home before our lease is up in September.
For New Years Eve, DH and I and then SIL and her boyfriend all got together and went out to eat, we went to our FAVORITE restaurant here in Schaumburg called Davis Street Fish Market, I love it and it was great... We then went to my cousins house and played games and brought in the new year... it was nice.
Then this past weekend DH and I saw Wicked and stayed downtown... we LOVED it and had a great time!
Resolutions: lots... I am going to keep with Weight Watchers, I am going to exercise more, save more, and start getting ready to start a family, super excited, it is going to be a big year!!
