The Jacob Age Controversy
Many fans have been complaining about the possible switch of Jacobs from Taylor to Michael. Many of the arguments have been based that JB is only 16 and how could a guy who is 26 possibly pull it off??
Well thanks to my re-reading of the novel...I have come across what SM says in the book, which I?vaguely?remembered and used to argue but now I have it word for word. ?I would like to say if they pull the switch in the middle of the movie..I am against that, although SM has really set it up for that to take place, based on what happens in NM...all the comments on his changing and now this section. So it's a huuuuge?possibility?that they will go this route, since making a 16 yr old look 25....not going to be easy. If they make the switch they need to do it for the entire film and for the rest of the series.

If they start replacing people- they should start with someone else (not sayin' who) but not TL...?
I totally believe MC is a douche now and really don't want him to be in the movies, but I guess the bright side is he makes for great hotness pics.
Only a part of NM....that is why Summit is thinking of the switch. It explains it all in the quote. By the time Bella, Mike and Jacob go to the movies in NM...he has reached his wolf growth spurt, aka looking like he's 25, 6ft 5in tall and "mammoth" as Bella puts it. ?
I am merely pointing out the information given to us in the books by SM and why the possible changes might occur.?
But it is the movies, so they can explain away anything, I suppose.
I just didn't get that there was as much of an age issue as there was a TL-MC issue. People have taken sides based on the actors more than anything - or at least, that's what I've observed.?
I personally do not think that the aged look of Jacob is an important plot point. ?I don't know why they are gripping at that detail, but will f-up the entire progression of Bella and Edward falling in love. ?
They need to leave the cast alone and spend more energy making a much better script this go around.?

I totally agree with this! ?I liked TL. ?It really bothers me, though, that they don't even seem to be considering an actual native american to play the part of Jacob (or didn't in the first place). ??
I am sure they looked a lot of people for the role. If they change TL because he doesn't "look" the part, then they need to start changing some other people too because they don't "look" the part. You aren't going to get a perfect match.
