vacation ideas! help

Our 1 year anniversary is coming up in Feb (the 16th).  We live in northern Illinois.  We are only able to take off 4 days from work, so that doesn't leave much for a vacation.  Any ideas on somewhere in the midwest area that would be fun to vacation, but we wouldn't be freezing our butts off?  We were thinking about flying to FL but after looking at prices it didnt seem worth it just for 4 days.

  • How about Vegas?

If looking to stay more local, Eagle Ridge in Galena is nice.....but it will be the same weather as Chicago.

  • We love going to The Abbey resort on Lake Geneva in the winter. ?They have a great spa and a large indoor pool/hot tub area that is adults only. ?It's very relaxing and a nice get-away that is still close by.

  • Pheasant Run in St. Charles might be good.  It has a few pools, bars, a comedy club and a Mario Tricoci right inside.

  • I happened to look for airline tix to LA for February.  They were $213.  That might be an idea.  At least it's warm there.  Good luck.
  • It's not warm but Wisconsin Dells has some indoor waterparks that are pretty fun. They make you feel like it's summer inside!
