Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

Flickr Sucks...

A free account on Flickr allows you to upload and store 200 pictures, after that you must sign up for Flickr Pro which is $24.95 per year. WTF?? I have a shutterfly account, but I don't like how they've changed it.

Any other suggestions for uploading and storing photos?

  • Boo to that! I use Picasa, through Google. I like it because I also use Google Calendar and it's all linked through the same account.

  • I've tried a few different things.  I just ended up paying the $25 for Flickr.  I think it's worth it.
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.

  • I used to use Picasa for photo-editing and uploading when I was still using an HP laptop... when I got my MacBook, Picasa wasn't available for Mac and so therefore led me to switching to myphotoalbum.com.  I've been happy with it, and their only requirement to allowing as many photos uploaded as you'd like is that you place one order with them a year (which is easy, since there's always photos to be printed and even an order with just a few 4x6" prints counts for maintaining your free account).
