KS is far too aloof and weird.  I get that Bella has an "I don't deserve you" inferiority complex, but she should still act wayyyy more smitten than KS did.

I haven't posted on here yet, but this made me decide that today was the day.  I totally agree... I watched that French interview when she said something about how Bella was such an honest character and no actress could really do a bad job... but somehow, she managed quite nicely.

I agree. She didn't really bother me the first time I saw the movie (I think I was way too busy watching Rob), but now I just find her annoying.

The more times I see the movie, the more I realize that KS didn't capture the essence of Bella. She is much less angsty I think than KS, at least not as negative, IMO.

Hope I don't get kicked off the board...I agree she didn't do a great job but honestly, I don't think any of them did. And...here it comes...I really didn't think RP did a good job either. Not how I envisioned Edward at either...he's cute in some parts but there are a few scenes where he wasn't that attractive to me. And Edward is supposed to be perfect.

There I said it...phew. Don't hate me. I still love Twilight! Books, movie, all of it!

Agree that she has the look, but to me (imo) she's lacking Bella's essence.

I honestly thought is was bad-acting all around, especially for the first 30 min or so (except for Charlie), so I'm hoping it was the direction as well.  I think RP is absolutely dreamy, but that doesn't mean he didn't suck in the biology class scene and shortly afterwards.  I'm in the minority, but I didn't mind KS as Bella.  She had her rough moments, but overall I think she did the best she could with the weird script & choppy directing.

Oh holy crap, yeah he did. I heart him but that was just awful
