Did you end up telling your ILs about your pregnancy?
Re: MOORENOLES
Hi Becki! Yes we did tell them and my MIL is already making plans to go to Dallas, TX to go shopping at all these unique baby stores they have there. She said she also plans on moving in over the summer to help me out. I don't know how I feel about that but we'll see.
How was your visit to PA? I REALLY wish I could have made it over to your mom's house to see you and Caleb. That day was so crazy visiting friends that were home for a few days from Iraq and picking up my brother and dad to make it to the bears game in time. One of these times I will meet up with you when you are in PA.
Sorry that my previous post was so short. I was holding Caleb on my lap and trying to type with one hand. I figured if I posted before I went to play with him, then I might get a response from you by the time he went back down for a nap. I sound like a great mother, don't I?
Anyway, I'm glad to hear that things went well with your appointment over the holidays and that you felt comfortable enough to share the great news. Sounds like your MIL is going to spoil that baby before he or she is even here! As for her moving in, I'd put a big nix on that. While it might be nice to have here there for a week or two, you're going to want family time after that. I finally told DH to tell his parents we needed some alone time. It was hard becuase they were being so helpful, but we really just needed to be a family of three for a while.
We had a great visit to PA. Caleb did wonderfully despite my negative thoughts before the trip. He started STTN while we were there, and really grew up a lot. It was crazy to see all the things he was doing at the end of the trip that he wasn't doing when we got there. A real marker of time for us.
The day of Caleb's Christening was pretty crazy for us too. My parent's house was full all day long. It wasn't until that night when things settled down that I realized you hadn't stopped by, but I figured it had been a busy day for you too. I'm hoping to make a trip back this spring with Caleb (sometime after my dissertation defense), so I'll let you know when that'll be and we can try to GTG.
