RP from the Knot.. Need Help for 30th Bday

Hello Ladies~ Im hoping you can help me with your fabulous ideas. My husband is turning 30 in the beginning of March. He is absolutely against a party, does not like going into the city (so a fancy dinner is out). He loves sports, but we already have tickets to the celts for the week before and we are staying overnight in town. He loves to snowmobile, so I was thinking about going up north somewhere but I dont know where would be a good place to bring the snowmobile, and still have a fun time at a hotel or something. I would love to do a weekend away. Im not opposed to flying someone, but it makes me really nervous to do that without him knowing. I think that if we fly somewhere (or drive far) I could probably get him out of work for a Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I would have a budget of no more than $1200 (incld. hotel/air).

We have never been to Vegas, and I did find trips out there, but im so intimidated to do it myself and get everything booked!!!


Any sort of ideas would be so appreciated. Sorry this was so rambling long!!!!

What about a Red Sox spring training game in Fort Myers? You could go to a game, get a weekend of sun. Flying to FL that time of year can be expensive, I found tickets for $250ish a person. Ft Myers offers lots of different hotel options too. You could do nice resort, or simple Howard Johnson type. The beach is fabulous... and Captive and Sanibel aren't far away either. I am familiar with the area so if you want some suggestions I have plenty for dining and such. I am a huge Sox fan, so if someone offered me a weekend away in March I would choose this in a heart beat!!!! :-) Good luck... and what a nice wife you are!

Vegas is a blast but i feel like its a group type of vacation. I know if it was just us two we probably wouldnt have as much fun like we would with a group of friends. Are there any other couples that would want to go so you can make it a group thing? then maybe you can get some help with the planning aspect as well.

I have been to spring training and its like no other vacation. I truly felt like I was part of the team haha. Unfortunately the more I look into it, maybe flying somewhere is a bit unreasonable.

 

I know he would love to snowmobile, so im trying to find hotels/ resorts that we can bring the machine too. So far this place looks good... does anyone know anything about it?
