Apart from a few awkward moments, KS actually did a decent job as Bella, I think.  I have a hard time picking someone else b/c she had already been cast when I started reading, so she will always be Bella to me.

Ditto.  the whole time I was reading it was being played out by the cast as it was.  I think KS looks like what I would have pictured Bella anyway.

I like KS as Bella. I agree she could have done better, but in my mind she was pretty similar to how I pictured Bella, even before seeing the movie.

Ditto all the dittos as well, BUT Nanna, I totally thought of young Alexis Bledel also. I must say, I was really glad they picked [mostly] kind of "unknowns" for the movie. I think casting big, huge stars would have been a mistake. Although, they are big, huge stars now!!
