Does anyone know if they stand for something? Did i miss the symbolism while reading or are they just random pics?

All stand for something except New Moon.  Someone else will explain below b/c I'm too lazy:

New Moon is random. Twilight represents the forbidden fruit from the Garden of Eden (quote is also at the beginning). Eclipse's cover represents ... I can't remember - something about relationships breaking? Or something? Breaking Dawn shows the queen and the pawn - Bella was a pawn and becomes the queen (in chess, obv.) in the story.

New Moon is random, but I always saw it as the drop of blood at the beginning of the book at her birthday party.

Eclipse is the tug of war between Edward and Jacob, she's being pulled in both directions.

Breaking Dawn and Twilight were explained above.

SMs website mentions what they all mean.  Twilight is like the forbidden fruit, NM doesn't mean anything, Eclipse is the tear in her relationships I believe and BD is something about how becoming the queen and the pawns of life.  Someone I'm sure can do better...I'm just killing time waiting for a conference call to start!
