So last night we were getting ready for bed and J let the dogs out. He comes running inside - 'Come here quick, I think there's a fire out there!' I'm like 'What?!?' I look outside to where he is pointing and see a light (we live up a hill behind the electric department, so you can always see some lights from them through the woods). I'm like I don't see a fire, I see a light.
Well he freaks out - 'Call the fire department! Quick get their number! Give me your phone! Look up the number!'
I was like o'h my god it's not a fire, calm down.' But he refused, so I handed him the phone and looked up the number. He calls them, tells them where we live and where he sees this 'fire.' Then hangs up and goes back outside to get the dogs.
He comes back in a minute later and goes 'I'm dumb, it wasn't a fire. It was a..
- get this!! -
..flag.' A FLAG!! I burst out laughing while he tried to explain that the way it was blowing in the wind looked like flames, because of when a fire gets so hot that it's blue. I almost peed myself I was laughing so hard. Then I told him it wasn't me he heard laughing, but the guys at the fire department after he called them back and told them 'never mind, no fire, just a FLAG!!'
Re: Come in and LOL at MH
I should add that he is a total hypochondriac and a pessimist, and is the boy who cried wolf. He constantly freaks out over little things that turn out to be nothing.
So I hardly take him seriously when he does something like this, because I am always confident it will turn out how it did. So that made it that much more hilarious :-P

Sad thing is - it happens to him ALL the time :-P It provides entertainment for me, if nothing else haha
Everam - ya mine is the same way. Not just sicker than me, but anyone. And true to his hypochondriac side, if anyone he knows is sick, all of a sudden he thinks he is coming down with that too. I have to wait a couple days to see if he is really feeling sick or just freaked out because someone else is haha
Mine is just getting over a bad cold and all I can say is THANK GOODNESS! I made a daily trip to CVS for a week (a whole week, I tell you) because there was something else he needed each day. Every morning he would wake up with, "should I go to work or should I stay home? What do you think?" When I told him if he stayed home, I would make him a doctors' appointment, he automatically got up and went to work. What a baby. He was legitimately sick, but I mean, come on, get your a$$ to the doctor if you feel so bad, right?
Gah! MH does the same thing, it makes me nuts! If I have a headache, he has a migraine. If I have a cold, he has a sinus infection. Drives. Me. Crazy.
Have you ever seen the Man Cold video? Hilarious
Well at least you know you will be safe from fires and dreaded flag invasions! Just kiddin'! Good entertainment is hard to come by, so it's a good thing you married your H!! Stuff like that would keep me in stitches!
The thing is, when something actually happens I don't take him seriously. Over the summer we were camping and a HUGE branch fell from a tree on our site. Crushed everything but us and our car. Snapped a picnic table in half.
When it fell it woke us up, but I didn't think much of it, and started to doze off again. He freaks out and starts shouting about a tree falling, and it took him like 5 minutes to convince me it actually happened!
