BLUE CROSS SUCKS!!

So I talked to the supervisor....

AND

THey say there's no record of the call on their end.  So its the hospitals word against theres.

So the "kind" lady suggests that I write a nice letter to the appeals committee to see if they'll waive the huge penalty.

WTF.

The hospital called!   Why do i have to go through all this crap.

this SUCKS.

Should i call cedars too???

Re: BLUE CROSS SUCKS!!

  • Tonya, I am so sorry you are going through this.  Insurance can be so difficult to deal with sometimes.  I dont understand why they won't take the face sheet as proof.  That just blows.

  • I would call again and go above the supervisor. If the insurance can't trust in a hospital's word than who can they trust? And what's the benefit of this hospital lying? They'll get their money either way! Believe me, hospitals could gives a rats a** about a lot of things but when it comes to this HMO/ Referral process they are pretty clear in their shi*.

Sorry that life has to be so hard, as if you don't have enough going on....geesh!

  • I'm sorry that you are going through all this --as if your health concerns aren't enough without the insurance company trying to stick you with a $10K bill! Yikes!

You should call Cedars, perhaps the nurse on duty who placed the call to Blue Cross will sign an affadavit or something stating that she did in fact place the call, and you can submit a copy of that along with the face sheet.

  • As if you haven't had enough health drama - now this? Oh my gosh you poor thing! I hope you are able to get it straightened out.

    Good luck girlfriend!?

  • Tonya - you seriously need to take this to your HR department and ask them to get the broker involved.  That is the job of the broker, to be the liason between the employee/employer and the insurance company.

Don't let your HR department tell you they don't want to get involved...it's their job.
