I am about to kill our neighbors re: their dog.

I can't believe how unbelievably rude they are.  They left on vacation over a week ago and their dog has been barking non stop since.  They have a little Boston Terrier and some other kind of terrier.  They just had a pool put in so their back yard went from small to minute. 

Some how this dog is getting in between all their junk that is piled up on the side of the house and is trying to escape.  Matt finally put up a barrier because she was getting out (for a few days BEFORE they left and for a few days after they left). 

We called them and they said that they are out of town and that a niece was watching them/feeding them for them.  Matt put some food in their bowl because they were barking so much and he said that they ate it like they were starving.  We have not seen this niece come over.

This is why some people should not have a dog.

It just makes me sad the way some dog owners treat their dogs.

Poor doggies! Isn't that a form of abuse ie. neglect? When we had a dog and had to go away for a vacay we used a doggy hotel. I feel that people should be properly screened before being allowed to own a dog. Its a great responsibility & privilege to have a dog.

When I talked to her, she said "If he got away, the older kids wouldn't even care, they would just want to get a new doggie....but their little one would be so sad"...UGH!

Shame on them!  You're absolutely right, some people really shouldn't be allowed to have animals.  Poor little dogs.

Please call animal control if you think these dogs aren't being cared for while the owners are gone. You'd be making a lot of noise too if you were left without food for over a week. The owners may have meant well by leaving their niece to care for them but she's obviously not doing the job.
