Daycare costs Lake Mary/Sanford

Just wondering what the average cost for daycare is around these areas.  Not sure if I'm looking for part time or full time yet.  TIA

ETA: Oops, Might want to add this would be for an infant!

Re: Daycare costs Lake Mary/Sanford

  • The cost range from $125-$150.  The younger the child the more money because they need more attention and caring for.  If your low on cash, my friend found it easy to go through Florida's 4-C program which covers all or a % depending how much you make.  I hope this helps.
  • When my son was an infant we paid $185 a week for full time. THat was at a day care in Apopka. I think places like Star Child are as high as $200 a week for infants. My son is now 21 months and he just started at a day care in Clermont. We pay $155 for full time. I think their infant program is $165 wkly. Not all day cares offer a part time price either and I've found that even if they do it's not real flexable. It's crazy how much it can cost!  Good luck and best wishes!
  • In our area of Lake Mary you're looking at $180-$210 per week.  Kids Together, LadyBird Academy and Legacy Academy.  It's used to be full time only but I know with the economy some are offering to take part time to fill classes.

And I would hurry up and pick one.  When my DSD enrolled at Kids Together her mom signed up when she was only 2 months pregnant.  There was already a waiting list!  She actually got bumped and was unable to enroll at the daycare until she was almost 6 months old.  (I don't think it's that bad now with StarChild open and many people taking their kids out to save money in this tough economy).
