Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

NTR: School Rant
School hasn't even started yet and I"m already running into problems. I"m a memeber of the Louisiana National Guard so I recieve tuition excemption were all I have to pay are the fees. I call to verify my name on the list like I've had to for the past five years and they tell me my names not on it. WTF!!! I've always been on the Fing list.
So they tell me they will call the Guard peeps and get it taken care of. (This was yesterday morning). I wake up and check my tuition, still no excemption. I call the Office of Veteran Services again. They tell me, "Oh they never sent your information to us. They sent someone elses. Here's there number, you call them."
UGH! I call and they tell me that i'm on the list (DUH) and they will fax the school and have it taken care of by close of business today. They better because tuition is due tomorrow.

I don't know what school you attend (and don't feel compelled to share if you don't want to) but I went to Loyola (in N.O. obviously) and the financial aid people are the most stupid, laziest people I have EVER met in my life. For undergrad I had scholarships from the school so you would think that would be no problem, right? WRONG! I had to fight with them every semester.
And for law school, with all my loans and grants, it was even worse. What a friggin' nightmare. I completely understand what you are going through, and it sucks. Hopefully they get it straightened out.
Oh and FYI, don't ever insult one of the financial aid workers to another one, apparently they talk, and then move your name to the bottom of the list for processing. I've learned this from personal experience.
Eeesh, Yeah I never insult anyone that deals with my monies to anyones face. I just b!tch when I get off the phone. I got SLU in Hammond but I'm Student teaching this semester. I was just really pissed that the lady at VS wouldn't call the lady back about my money. But whateves I know it's being faxed and first thing tomorrow morning it BETTER be taken care of or I'm gonna be a raging b!itch.
I used to have a friend that worked with the National Guard students tuition list and I would NEVER have to call because she would already post my information. Too bad she graduated and now some idiot has her job. =(
