DH&LS06

Hey Lauren!  How is your DH adjusting to being here?  Has he found a job and met some new people?

Re: DH&LS06

  • Hey Alesha! He's enjoying it. He really likes the area we're in b/c it's so small. Still no job, but we'll hopefully be turning in his substitute teaching application here soon. He got his US driver's license while we were in Florida for Christmas and we're still waiting for his license to be mailed to us. Apparently they had to send all the paperwork to Tallahassee to cross check (yay immigration) and then they'll send us the license. Right now he only has a piece of paper saying he's allowed to drive. Anyways, once we get the real license we can submit the application.

There just aren't too many jobs to be had right now.

On the friend front, he hasn't really met a lot of people. We have friends in Florida, but we're not there. We just got new neighbors though - a couple who just moved in together. Nice people and Dave and they guy get along really well. It's been good for him. I think he misses having guy friends b/c he's around me so much lol.

    Thanks for asking!

How have you been? You have a nice Christmas and New Year? I've been MIA over the holiday b/c we spent it with my fam down in FL and I haven't been online much.

  • Wow, the things you go through to move to another country!  You're right about it being few jobs out there, but I'm sure he'll get something.  I hope the teaching works out!

That's great about the new neighbors.  One guy friend is better than none.    :-)  I bet you were excited to spend time with your family.  I missed mine so much this year (we spent the holidays with my in-laws).

I've been doing pretty well.  For the most part, my stomach issues have subsided with the exception of the burping.  It's happening a lot less than before though Embarrassed.  Thanks for asking, too!
