DH's work messed up our insurance, so we are without it until March. This is not medicaid, it is regular insurance, but they cannot deny you due to pre-existing conditions. The wesite is vague, so if you are interested give the 800 number a call and they will send you the brokers' info.

I didn't go to the appointment today since United upped their premiums, but I just called BCBS and for me, at 25 I can get coverage for 95.00 a month, and my hubby, who is also 25 can get coverage for 80.00 a month. United wasn't starting coverage until March, and I was just told by BCBS that if I get the application back to them by the 15th they could start then. And this was for the Catostrophic plan, not the Preventative.
I have a minor heart condition that prevents me from getting coverage on my own, so this is a big deal for me!
Thanks for the update. Those rates are way better than what I pay for both me and DH through my group plan, but that plan is not a catastrophic plan. I will have to get my DH to look into this further to see what rates he can get offered. I pay way way way too much for him on my group plan. He doesnt get discounted at all like I do, and it take a lot of my paycheck.
I also have a minor heart condition (mitral valve prolapse) and I know what you mean about coverage issues. If I ever have a lapse in coverage one day I am in trouble!!
