40th birthday ideas?

My brother in law turns 40 in March.  I emailed his gilfriend today and she said she's been thinking about it but has no concrete plans yet.  They live in Manhattan Beach as do most of their friends so we're thinking up that way someplace.  Any great ideas???  I put a few things out to her but since I don't know the area well was thinking someone else might be able to suggest places or ideas.

Thanks!

Re: 40th birthday ideas?

  • you should ask the oc nesties.  and hopefully jayme and lilpea will chime in with suggestions.  not sure who else is down that way...

    good luck and have fun!

  • Manhattan Beach is in LA, so I'm not so sure the OC Nesties will be able to help out.

There is a fun restaurant, if that is what you are looking for called C&O Tratorria.  It's located at the end of Washington at the Venice Pier.  The nice thing is, there is lots to do around there so afterwards you could go out and continue your celebration a bit more.

    Here is the site  http://www.cotrattoria.com/index.html

  • ooops!  sorry!  shows you how much i know...lol!  such the valley girl
  • Totally...a valley girl...lol
  • C&O's is a great place - we were just there over the weekend (plus I served there in college). They have great food and it's loud and always busy.

If you are looking for a more classy place (almost same food) C&O's has a similar restuarant up Washington (C&O Cucina) - they are a bit less crowded and the tables aren't as close together, (we had our rehearsal dinner there).
