More on Goody's Family Clothing

Goody?s Family Clothing will begin going-out-of-business sales on Friday according to a published report.

Bob Carbonell, chief credit officer for retail credit rating service Bernard Sands, confirmed with the News Sentinel that the Knoxville-based retailer is liquidating.

A meeting was held today with potential liquidators who may run the sale, he said, adding ?going-out-of business sales will begin soon.?

I read that in yesterday s newspaper also. So I went by there during lunch and they don t have anything on sale yet. The sales girl said it may be Feb before they even start putting things on sale.

I hate our Goody's.  But I used to shop there in college.  I read that they won't close up in some places until late spring.

I used to love Goody's when I was younger, now I hardly ever go in there.  It's just hard to find cute stuff anymore now that I'm old. lol

I read about this several days ago. While I never shopped all that much at Goody's, I did find things once in a while and Bob always bought his jeans there. I believe we are going to see more and more of this as the economy takes it's dive. Sad.

I know I found a ton of pants for they hubby when they closed the one on 280.  I think the one by the Galleria has been closed for a while now as well.

There's not that many places I won't go in our community because they aren't what I feel are safe places...however, pretty much anything between the mall and the hospital on Opelika Road...ehhh...that's where our Goody's is...I went by Movie Gallery near there a few weeks ago at like 2 pm and decided it was time to get NetFlix for safety reasons...

Shut up! My college roommate (D) worked there in h.s. and college. I almost applied for a Marketing job in the corporate office.  The one here has gone to the birds as well. I haven't stepped foot in there in ages.

So sad how many companies are liquidating.
