Its FRIDAY!!

we made it :)

so, whats on the agenda for the weekend??

Re: Its FRIDAY!!

  • homework. school's back in session, but it's my last quarter (for now at least). we're also working on the bathroom.

tomorrow night we're going to a hockey game, but we have a really big storm moving in tonight/tomorrow so getting there should be fun. hopefully it's not nearly as bad as they're saying.

sunday afternoon we're supposed to be going to c's brother's to give her neice her christmas presents. and try not to kill each other.

  • tonight: visiting BFF while Andrea's away at a coaching conference - we're going to work on some scrapbooking projects

tomorrow: visiting bubby and going through her basement...its literally full of stuff that was saved when A's mom passed away 9 years ago (china, silverware, furniture, ect ect ect). Bubby wants it to be dispersed to family but no one wants it. Ugh, its SUCH a bone of contention and being someone who doesnt place much value in things its hard for me to understand what the big deal is. The family's obession with holding on to people who have passed by holding on to all of thier things drives me crazy. i must practice my best patience...

Following the bubby visit we are supposed to get together with friends in Mass but we're also expecting a snow storm so that may or may not happen. Truth be told, i wouldnt mind the excuse to veg on the couch!

Sunday: church, de-christmasing the house, dinner party at a friend's new apartment.

  • Tonight we are taking our friend out for dinner for her birthday and also to celebrate our good news this week.  S is excited that she now has a designated driver!

Sat we want to go to see milk but will probably do that in the afternoon before the snow starts.

Sunday we will be chilling on the couch and I guess S will be clearing out the snow as I sit inside ;)

  • Tonight Costco run.

Saturday morning take the kids to our gym so we can work out and then to their gymboree class. In the afternoon we have a babysitter coming over and L and I are going on a date (#3 since the kids have been born!) I think we are going to go see Milk if I can find a theater close by that is still showing it.

Sunday morning our friend is coming over to do some computer work for us. We may go to U of MD to pick up L's book for the class she is taking this semester or friends may come over.

  • Ok first i have to say working an ENTIRE week for the first time in a few weeks has kicked my butt!

Tonight we will drop the kids at their dads and then we will probably grab a quick bite to eat go home and watch tv until i can't keep my eyes open anymore honestly it probably wont be past 11.

Saturday we are doing this thing T wants to teach me, she learned it back in her church attending days. The point of the way we are going to do it is basically to get over things in our past that still find ways to effect our happiness and to forgive ourselves for things, stop caring about what people think and all that lovelyness. We have to go through our entire lives (well my entire life, she just has to go through the last 2 years since that was the last time she did this) and write down a few good memories, all bad memories, things we are sorry for, things we want to forgive people for and all sorts of things. Apparently this is going to take a while and will bring up a lot of emotions and as i've been warned a lot of tears. Once we have completed our letter/lists then we burn them and release them and basically just let go of everything and move on to a better less resentful, more forgiving life. (I'm sure T could explain it alot better)

So after we do that we decided we are going to drop the puppy at my moms, turn off our cell phones, grab a quick and cheap dinner and go stay the night at The Anniversary Inn, its one of those "romance" hotels with themed rooms and a nice ambiance, and (the whole reason for going) a big 2 person jacuzzi tub in each room. We are going to just relax and enjoy some time together.

Sunday morning we are going to have breakfast and then go see Marley and Me (T loves her some Jennifer Aniston) and then grocery shop and take care of things around the house.

Should be a very cleansing weekend!

  • stop by a casual friend's babys bday, and build shelves in the office. NOTHING else :)
  • Tonight we really don't have anything planned. It all depends on how we feel when we get home. I want to go to the movies b/c there are quite a few movies I would like to see but who knows! (Milk looks great!)

Tommorrow Michele has to work in the morning, so I will most likely do some catching up on housework. We also have our first "book/dinner club" with our friends tommorrow night. I still haven't finished the book so I need to do that! Some of our friends thought it would be a good idea to start a book club and we meet every 6 weeks. We also pick a country and everyone gets assigned a dish (dessert, main course, etc) to make and we exchange recipes. Since it's our first one I'm excited to see how that goes. It's a great excuse to spend time with our friends and eat some good food.

Sunday will most likely be a day where we stay at home and maybe do some painting and house projects depending on our motivation level.

  • We have a friend who is flying in tomorrow from Toronto and we are supposed to go into NYC, but I think that may change if the weather is as bad as it is supposed to get. No alternate plans yet, but we are working on some ideas.

Everyone in the pathof the storm stay warm and be careful please.

  • Since this is a "real" work week for me I will be doing tons of notes so next weekend I can enjoy mt b-day without work problems, and I also have a ton of school work ( so happy classes are almost over) and I'm sure my wife will be doing the same thing. This weekend is crappy and I hope it passes quickly ( wow, I don't think I ever said that before)
