Jovreef - BD spoiler
I have a theory about the timing in that scene from BD. Bella says she's been dead-tired at night, falling asleep in her dinner one night. Let's assume she fell asleep early the night of sexytime #2 and woke up later. According to the almanac, sunset in August around Rio is 5 p.m. When she woke up later in the dark, it could have been 8 or 9 p.m., and 12 hours later would have been the normal morning time. She gets up, eats breakfast, the cleaning crew comes, they watch the DVD then have lunch.

What can I say? I'm a total nerd! That sort of thing is like a fun puzzle for me. And fwiw, all I did was reread that part of the chapter and one google search - "rio sunrise sunset."
Glad I could help! Who in the world would have thought the sun sets just after 5 in Rio in August? Not me!

Taking into account the longitude and latitude of Isle Esme and also if the bed was facing North by North West at a 90 degree angle of the front door AND if after sexy time Wardo gently laid he down on her left side but that would mean the space shuttle would had to have been factored in its orbit around the moon........
