Screw you car

The 3rd mechanic confirmed it is timing related. But it's not the belt.

This means they'll be taking apart the car again. It is most likely a gear or a chain. He kept talking but it was drowned out by the sound of paper rustling violently...oh yeah, that's the sound of money being blown out of my bank account. I should know that sound by now.

The guy has never encountered this before so he doesn't know how much it could cost. Another bonus, is that if something is broken and has been limping along, they may not be able to ghetto rig it to put it back together so it'll run. So I may have to get it repaired in order for it to even work.

Now if you'll pardon me, I need to go to cars.com to find a new ride.

Re: Screw you car

  • ouch.  that stinks man.  try carsense.com too.  they are in uwchland which is a bit of a hike for you (not too far from malvern though), but they sell really great cars under blue book value AND they have some kind of special warranty.  i bought my car there and i was very happy with the service and i have only been hit by other people--so not the car or car dealer's fault.  you could also try newhollandautogroup.com which is obviously in new holland.  they usually have great deals too...hth
