I was hospitalized AGAIN!

So wednesday I posted about having right pain on my lower ab again and that I was going to the doctors.

Well we ended up at the ER.  They ran tests, they all came back negative, but my PCP didn't release me.  He called a surgeon, and I ended up getting my appendix out.  They took it out on leap of faith, and it ended up being the problem.  She said it didn't look normal, it was inflammed and the wrong color.

So it seems that the pain i went to the ER for 4 weeks ago was actually apendicitis and they mis-diagnosed me.   My appendix caused my colon to look swollen in my CT scan and they diagnosed me with a colon disease called diverticulitis.   But then when they re-scanned me wed, it didn't show inflammation there, and my appendix was hiding and they couldnt see it.

Anyway, i'm finally home, recovering from a very long ordeal and hopefully the end of my Cedar's visits.

I am now minus an appendix and gallbladder, so I've gotten rid of my 2 useless organs and hope that that's the end for awhile.  At least now I dont have to worry about getting appendicitis again!!!

Thanks to all of you who wrote me and sent me well wishes.  I really appreciate it.  I dont know what I'd do without my nestie family.

So glad to hear that they finally found the culprit. My continued thoughts and prayers to getting healthy again. For some useless organs they can sure create a lot of havoc.

So glad they finally figured it out & that your PCP wouldn't discharge you until it was figured out. ?I hope this is the end of your ordeal.
