Car Seat ?- Britax Marathon

I was all set to order a Marathon, but now I'm questioning if it's the right Britax to get.  Can someone just tell me that it's a great seat and to place the order without thinking too hard if I should get the Boulevard instead?  (Or should I be getting the Boulevard???) TIA!

Re: Car Seat ?- Britax Marathon

  • We love our Marathon. ?Do it!!!

    ?There, did that help???image

  • If we could afford two Marathons I'd get them without a second thought. HTH.
  • Thank you ladies :)  Placing the order when DH finishes his remodel project (so we can choose which pattern to go with... not like he'll care anyway... lol)
  • Alex has two Marathons, and we have one for Molly. Even MIL has one for Alex, too, for her car! Love them!
  • Now, see, I had both the Marathon and the Boulevard and I MUCH prefer the Boulevard. It has more padding and I love the headrest. Plus it has the side impact foam which I don't think the Marathon does.
  • See! That's my problem! People like both!!! (We haven't ordered yet, this was my "last check" before ordering!

Question on the Boulevard- does the padding prevent the kiddo from looking around? We have the Peg infant seat now, and Anna is straining to hold herself up to look around the side impact padding- it is described as "blinders for horses" by some ppl on the BRU site.

  • I can't answer your question, but just an FYI...Amazon has some good deals on both the Marathon and Roundabout (not sure about Boulevard) right now (Marathon (2 prints only, both girly ones) for $179)

  • No, she can see out the window still. I mean, she won't be able to turn her head and look directly next to her, but I like the headrest option and the side impact stuff better. It doesn't bother her.
