am i the only one?

after reading a post below about postponing reading Eclipse to extend the Twilight experience, i started wondering if i was the only one (doubt it) or if i'm in the minority. Postponing reading the books never entered my mind for a second. I HAD to keep reading until i was finished and everything else be damned.

for me, the only book i had to wait on to be released was BD and in that span is when i googled my little heart out for twilight stuff (and found out about the movie) and that all eventually led me to you lovely ladies

Re: am i the only one?

  • You're not the only one.  I couldn't read them fast enough!  I hated having to wait for BD.
  • No, I completely agree. I live 1.5 hours from the nearest "bookstore" or Target. So I drove there late one night to get Eclipse and Breaking Dawn when I got to the last few chapters of New Moon.

Waiting was not even a thought in my mind, and I doubt it would have been possible haha.

  • By the time I read the books they were all out and I was like you, the world be damned I was going to read them all as fast as I can.  I was averaging a book a week if not more at that point.  I finished them all before the movie came out and was re reading Twilight by then.

  • that wasn't even an option. the only reason that reading them got postponed at all was because I don't live near a bookstore and didnt have money for gas and the book. lol
  • I couldn't wait either.. I had borrowed them all from a friend, and had asked for them for Christmas so I couldn't just go out and buy them. I was second in line borrowing them, so I had to wait for each book and it KILLED me!! I read MS while waiting for BD.

  • After Twilight I read another book then again after New Moon I read a different book but Eclipse & Breaking Dawn I read back to back in like 4 days. ?I was reading other books in between to make the experience last longer too.?
  • I couldn't wait either. The only reason I had to wait was because my husband wanted to give them to me for birthday.
  • It was impossible for me to wait.  I read the entire series in under a week; I even read in the car.

  • I have been reading them like crazy. I started last Sunday and I am almost finished with Eclipse. I am becoming a regular at my Target....buying the books and all this week. I would be done with Eclipse and on to BD had it not been for us moving out of our house this weekend.

I plan on re-reading them after BD slower this time so I can really enjoy them.

That's what I did.  When I re-read them, I felt differently about some of the characters and I enjoyed New Moon much much more.

  • That's one of the reasons why I was glad that I didn't know about Twilight until they were all out. I needed to know! HP was a killer! I hate waiting. I also didn't want anything spoiled so I read as fast as I could. The flair was already spoiling things for me. I could never wait.

  • I did wait a bit between Eclipse and BD, since I knew BD was the last one, and I hadn't really been paying attention to my husband at all for like the 3 weeks that I was reading them. Then I had to take a business trip so I picked up BD to read on the plane! I only waited like 2 weeks though.

  • Waiting was never an option for me. I read all in about 8 days. I would have had them finished sooner but I needed a few hours of sleep and to eat every once in awhile. My poor H.....he suffered that week.
  • Waiting was definitely not an option for me.  My pour dh drove all the way across town to get the last 3 books for me when I couldn't find them on our side of town!!!

  • there was no way i could have spread them out. ?i stayed up all night long reading for 5 nights in a row to get them all read. ?i just had to know what was going to happen next.

  • Nope. I needed the instant gratification.  I read through the 4 books within a 3 day weekend. No way I could have spread them out deliberately.
