Hi Ladies,
I haven't been over here in a while but thought this was the perfect place to ask where you bought your baby furniture and what you ended up getting. I don't think we want DaVinci, so we were looking at places like Tiny Totland. Did anyone shop for theirs at places other than BRU and do you like what you got?
TIA!
Re: Baby Furniture
We got our crib, crib matress and changing table at Tiny Totland. We love our furniture and the best part was they delivered the furniture and set it up for us as well.
GL! Furniture shopping is the best. It's makes everything seem more real. Enjoy!!
We got everything for both of our kids (minus one PBK bookshelf of Alex's) at TT. We had it delivered and set up and it was totally smooth.
FYI, Alex's furniture is from Baby's Dream and Molly's is Old Mother Hubbard.. HTH!
We got Anna's crib, mattress, and dresser (changing table) at Tiny Totland. I agree that the best part was that they set it up for you, just the way you want it They were very helpful at walking around their whole store with us explaining the differences and answering questions. We got a Legacy set, and I adore it. Other crib thoughts: We went with white- which I love, because we've been able to add other pieces, wall shelves, etc that match quite easily. One thing that I'm glad we did is get a crib with a straight back piece- our ends are sleigh- as that is where we hang her activity center, aquarium soother, etc- they wouldn't attach to our ends. Another thing that I've noticed is that now that Anna is almost 7 months old, I rarely use her changing table- I tend to change her in the crib. Just food for thought when picking pieces (and maybe that's just me).
Have fun!!!
Congrats. I'm a few weeks ahead of you (28 weeks). We actually just ordered some furniture on Thursday from Tiny Totland, after looking at Babies R Us & online at JC Penney (which is quite a good selection as well). I just like that at Tiny Totland, they'll deliver & set up & they were really great with answering questions. We stopped in at Baby Depot & we pretty much walked out. There was no one around to help answer our questions & the displays were not helpful (for example, at BRU, they at least had tags on everything with dimensions & finish/wood options, etc).
We got a crib, with the conversion rails, a changing table, and a mattress. We might go back & order a glider/chair. Also, because we bought 3 pieces, we get 20% off anything to decorate the nursery from now till the baby's born. So I might go back & look at bedding, lamps, etc.
