What would you do.....

for your 30th birthday?

I'm not exactly super excited, but I think I'm over going out. I don't know. But I do want to do something with all of my friends. Any suggestions?

  • Karaoke? Spa day? Minigolf and go cart racing? I'd probably go out and act like a child or something again! Last year my party was white trash themed. We all went bowling and then to hooters and yes, I made people dress up.  DH turns 30 this year too. I'll probably do some kind of surprise party or something for him. I have until October to figure it out though!

  • My 30th is this week and I'm having a big party at a friend's home.  Theme: Saying goodbye to my Roaring 20's w/ a 1920s theme.  I know not everyone will dress up but I bought an amazing vintage style dress & some girls are definitely going all out.

It's totally me, though b/c I love vintage things and dressing up.  I didn't just want a typical house party.  But another thing I might have been up for is a roller skating party!

  • I had a party with my friends...we had lots of food, good music and a margarita machine...it was super fun
  • Hmmm...I have another year and a half or so before the big 3-oh, but I'm thinking a spa day sounds lovely!!!
  • Thanks everyone! I think we're going to do something at the house with my friends. That way, I can walk to bed afterward! :)

Hey - sometimes that's the best! I did that one year. We did a big BBQ and I made a crap load of sangria. We did end up walking across the street to a bar though later on.

  • I think it will be fun. I'm trying to keep budget low this year since I'm not working and our vet bill was so high. My friend wanted to do the rodeo kickoff dance for my b-day and I was not into that one. I've been before, and it's always cold and half the time it's rainy.

  • Geez! Way to make someone feel OLD! I am planning for 40! Of course I am going all out for 40. I think we just had dinner out for my 30th. That was 7 years ago now. *rofl* I'm have a big masked ball for my 40th. I figure that since I wasn't even supposed to live past 10 days old I have to do something big for some bday and I picked 40. Wink
  • Oh, don't feel old. I just don't have the motivation this year to do anything fabulous. I think 40 will better, though. And I would say that 40 vs. 10 days  old is most certainly something to celebrate!!!!
