watched into the wild last night
It made me cry, but so does every movie on the planet.
No wonder RP wanted to work with KS after seeing this. She's in itty bitty undies lol.

I just watched this a week or so ago, and I hated it. I loved the book after reading it 10 years ago, but watching the movie made me realize just how dumb Chris McCandless was to do what he did. There's a lot of information that's conveniently left out of the book and the movie, making it a more romanticized story, but he was really just a whiny brat.
KS did look good in it, though.

Yeah, I liked the idea that he wanted to do his own thing but I didn't get the anger. Maybe there was more in the book, but lots of people have parents who fight and lie to their kids. The movie didn't even make their fighting/lying seem that bad.
It still made me cry at the end.
it's sad how close he was to everything though.
on a related note, when H and I were in Alaska on our HM last year, we did a backcountry jeep tour thing and we went on Stampede Trail

I saw her playing guitar in a clip once, not sure how good she is though. She can sing, yet says she can't despite the fact that I've seen it on some YouTube clip.
I have read though that RP, Rathboner, KS & NR were the ones that sang and played onthe set.
Yeah, I saw an interview where she said she can play the guitar. Also that RP got her a guitar for her birthday.....
She sings & plays guitar in this movie.
