A bunch of girls and I went to see Bride Wars this past weekend. THe movie was really cute, but at the end of the movie the MOH gave kinda a speach about guys come and go but BF are always there through it all............ anyway my BF wants me to give the same sort of speach at her wedding, and I am not a speach giving kinda person. Is there a way I can find that last little part of the movie?
Re: Movie???
i'm sure you could google it or something.
but here's my .02..don't copy something from a movie. yeah, you may not be a speech person but if i were the bride and found out my BFF stole a speech from a movie I'd be a little upset. Speeches at weddings are supposed to come from the heart and be personal and that's kinda like saying "i like you, but not enough to spend my time on you"

You are wise, funkypineapple!
I think it's presumptuous of her to want you to give a certain type of speech anyway. Just give the speech you want to give. If you get ideas from the internet or movies, that's fine... but I wouldn't copy it.
Maybe I am misunderstanding something here as well...but to give a speech at her wedding that is saying that guys come and go but BF's are always there...couldn't that be insulting to the groom? I mean I understand the sentiment behind it, how friend's are always there, but honestly that to me is kinda like punching the groom in the stomach...but like I said maybe I am misunderstanding something?
Oh and yeah I agree with Crystal and Bethany...I woudln't copy something from a movie.
I get what you're saying Candi - I agree. I saw the movie but can't remember the exact speech either.
I could see that being said at a graduation party for a single girl or something, but... when you get married... the guy is the one who WILL always be there. lol
I tend to think that kind of speech would be hurtful to the groom and to his family. It's a serious slam. I really can't imagine saying something like that in real life. I agree with you.
