Re: Poll: Leftovers

  • I spend Sundays... typically, when I am not in the middle of the craziest move ever... cooking in bulk. Usually stews, soups, lasagna, pastas, etc. Anything I can make in bulk and use the rest of the week to make unique dishes or I can snack on or send with E to work/school for lunch.

If there are leftovers we won't eat before they go bad we either freeze 'em or send them to work with E for his coworkers. :)

  • As long as I am good about cooking dinners - my lunch is always leftovers.

  • there is a cafeteria where i work. it costs me less than $1 per day to eat both breakfast and lunch, and it's taken directly from my check. it's pretty good food, and there's always dry cereal, yogurt and fruit for breakfast and a salad bar for lunch if i'm not into whatever the meal is. i love not having to think about it. the only time i have to worry about meals is during the summer.
  • we're not very good at eating leftovers so i always cook with that in mind (ie: make sure its only 2 portions)...the only exception is the weekend bulk cooking that i immediately freeze (lasagna, chili, mac and cheese, ect) - for some reason that doesnt feel like leftovers Stick out tongue
  • I used to take leftovers a lot, but for some reason since I got pregnant I can't do it. If it wasn't just cooked and piping hot I can't eat it. Even if I microwave it til it's steaming, I just can't get it down. Wierd.
