I love Hampton Inns ~ Poll

So I was at a thing in Chicago this past few days and I stayed at the Hampton Inn Majestic in the theatre district and it just reminded me when I walked in my room after fighting chicago traffic and near blizzard conditions exactly why I love the Hampton... I collapsed into my coushy bed, enjoyed my lovely view, and enjoyed my warm cookie...

What hotel chain do you love and why...

Re: I love Hampton Inns ~ Poll

  • If you can't tell I LOVE Hampton Inn's as per a trainer I was had "I'm a Hampton wHore" :) Everything about it rocks!!
  • I'm a huge fan of Hampton Inns as well. I also enjoy Mariott's Residence and Fairfield.

FCG reminded me - Hyatt Place --- love it!

I'm a hotel snob - I've stayed at numerous chains and even amongst the same chain the hotels vary :/

Move along, nothing to see here.....
  • Yeah so far Hampton is winning!! ;)
  • I love the W! ?From the hotel decor to the toiletries (Bliss!), the bar and just the overall vibe.?If budget was not an issue I would stay at the W wherever there's one. Plus, there's my whole Sean Penn story, but that's for another post!?image
  • Hyatt Place if there is one available.  I love that they don't do vending machines and everything is sold from the front desk.  I hate being woke up by the noise.  They also have really comfy beds, BIG flat screens in HD, and every room is built like a mini-suite with a huge "pit group" type couch that folds out.  They have ginger scented toiletries that smell heavenly too!

Sheraton has the best bed hands down though.  I love staying in those because I get a great night of sleep every single time.  I really want one of their beds:

I'll take a Hampton when these are not options.  They have good beds and are consistent in service.

  • I'm a Hilton's chick- so the Hampton Inn falls in that group. I like Embassey Suites too- b/c for the money, you get a lot of room. So in general- I like them as a chain.

Different cities though- sometimes I like particular hotels. Chicago has some great hotels. The W is fab there...Hotel 71 is a really cool boutique hotel. The Sheraton in downtown Pittsburgh is great.

I'm trying to think where my favorite hotel has been. . .I've been lucky through work to stay at a lot of nice ones.

  • I, too, am a Hilton girl, but if I'm going big, I like Westin's, too, for their Heavenly Beds.  If I get to choose hotels when on business or personal travel, I actually prefer mid priced business traveler hotels to big "full service" hotels.  They are easier to navigate, usually have free breakfast and the quality of beds and showers has increased dramatically over the past few years.  I prefer Hampton Inns to all.  My favorite hotel/resort I've ever stayed in, though, was the Arizona Biltmore in Pheonix.  I stayed there in July for a work conference and only paid $100/night.  Of course, it was Pheonix in July so you could hardly breathe... but it was an amazing resort.
  • I've become a big fan of Sheratons. I book everything on Hotwire anymore, and pretty much all of the hotels we've stayed at the past year have been Sheratons. So, the comfy beds, clean rooms, and everything else are even better because they are dirt cheap. I'm actually sitting in our Sheraton room right now.
  • I agree with all of the above!

Sheratons- Love, love, love the "sweet sleeper" beds.

Hyatt Place- Love the plasmas and the modern decor.

Embassy Suites- great for girls weekends and/bachelorette parties, lots of space and a mini fridge.

We've had great luck with the Priceline name your own price.  We usually do three stars and above and generally get one of these three.

  • OK, you guys have me all curious about a "sweet sleeper" Sheraton bed... now I'm gonna have to try it!
  • Oh kellyjo, once you do you will be forever sold. :)  I promise.
