Dress for the Pantages

Hi everyone! I'm new to this board but I need some opinions. I am going to see Phantom at the Pantages theater this month. I just don't know what to wear. Is it the kind of theater where you get really dressed up? Or would a simple LBD do??

TIA!?

Re: Dress for the Pantages

  • It varies.  I was Phantom a few years ago and it was everything from simple black dresses to very fancy dresses.  I did a simple black dress....
  • I would do a simple black dress, hubby in slacks and a dress shirt (not sure about the tie, it's been a long time since I went to the Pantages).  When we go see a play down here (I'm in OC) at the Performing Arts Center I usually wear a pair of dress pants and a fancy shirt, hubby in dress pants and a Tommy Bahama style dress shirt.

  • I have seen it all.  It really depends on the day and time.  Fri and Sat nights tend to be a bit more dressy, LBD would be fine.  Weeknights and weekend day shows seem to be a bit more casual.  I have seen people in jeans and a nicer top.
  • Simple cocktail dress is fine.
