Re: Wedding Help

  • Photographer : Ruben from fredfox

Dj: Ameritune ( they are cheap and fun)

Good luck with your friends weddingBig Smile

  • That's very sweet of you to help your friend look for vendors. I'd highly recommend our photographer Kevin Reed (kevinreed.net). Our wedding was pretty small, so we just used a local flower shop in our neighborhood that was willing to work within our budget. As for music, we just made a playlist and hooked up our iPod to the venue's speakers.

The Chicago Knot board may be more helpful (and active) with other vendor recommendations.

    Good luck!

  • Here are some of the vendors I used:

DJ:  I would highly recommend One Stop DJ's-we used Rufus and he was awsome.  Great at reading the crowd and played everything that we wanted to hear.  Very easy to work with before and during the wedding.  IGNORE the cheezy dvd the company sends -- they will do what ever you want so if you don't want cheezy it wont be there.  Their prices couldn't be beat by anyone else we looked at.

Photographer:  I used Edward Fox--specifically Ladio.  He was great to work with very friendly and full of pic ideas.  Even the groomsmen that hate taking pics loved working with him--email me if you want to see pics (adabrow1@yahoo.com)

Flowers:  I did most on my own.  If your friend is having her wedding during the school season I would reccomend Joliet Jr. College--they have a flower arrangement program and all they do is weddings-I had a friend do this (our wedding was in the summer so they were not available) and her flowers were beautiful and cost a lot less than a regular florist.

No recs for a videographer since we didnt have one.

     Good luck :)

  • Photographer:  Ours was Michael Carr (www.michaelcarrphoto.com) and we loved him.  He has a wonderful personality and captured the day beautifully.  We have gotten so many wonderful comments and he was reasonable.  I also love Life on Prints, Peter Pawinski and Matt Schademan.

DJ:  MDM entertainment.  We had Oliver and her was absolutely perfect.  The owner Mike is also wonderful.  We got a combo deal on the photobooth and DJ.

Florist:  Grace from Vale of Enna.  She was flexible, friendly and professional.  She really worked with our budget and has an amazing sense of style.

I also love Kristen from Kio Kreations

  • We used Bryan Swisher for our photographer and loved our pics! The videographer was also through Bryan Swisher.  The DJ was through Tone Productions and we were also happy with them.
