I was at Cedars today and...

I had my check up with my surgeon.  The pathology came back and it was 100 percent appendicitis.   So i had appendicitis for 6 weeks...  6!!!!!!

She said i was CRAZY lucky that it didn't burst.

Sometimes I think the dr's at cedars get caught up in all the testing and miss the  standard clinical evaluation.

On a brighter note,  I followed Stephen spielberg into the hospital and got into the elevator with him.  I wanted to say hi, but DH made me keep my mouth shut.

I think he was there visiting someone.

  • I'm so happy that you finally have a definite diagnosis. It's just too bad that you had to go through so much suffering to get it though. I wish you the best of health in the coming months, you deserve it after all you've been through.
  • thanks jenn!

i hope this year is better!

my mom had her gallbladder and appendix removed.

She also tells me today.. oh and by the way, i had an ovary removed because I got a cyst that tested positive for cancer.

GREAT! can i get a new family tree????  LOL>

  • 6 weeks is too long.  You are very lucky that it did not burst.  Mine did when I was 8.  My 2 hour surgery took over 8 hours.  I was in the hospital for almost 3 weeks and the drs told my parents if they had waited an hour to take me to the hospital, I would not have made it.  Scary huh...

I am just glad that you are better.

  • I am so happy to hear your finally got diagnosed correctly. You have been dragged through so much! I hope 2009 brings lots of good health and happiness?image
  • Thank GOD you're all right!  May 2009 be healthy and happy.  XOXOXO!!!
  • Wishing you a year thats much more healthier than the last.?
