Hi,
My husband and I are in love with Nashville after several mini vacations there. I like the music scene, and he likes the sports scene. We have been DINKS, but my husband quit his job this week to finish getting our current house ready to rent. (It is owned by my father-in-law, but we've been flipping it.) It sounds crazy, and I really wish he would have found a job in Nashville before quitting the one here in Mississippi. However, the job he had here was so corrupt that he had had enough. ANYWAY, just wondering how the job market is looking up there and if anyone knows of any openings. He has human resources experience and has also been an assistant manager at Walgreens.
Re: Relocating to Nashville...looking for job
It depends on who you talk too as to if the job market here is good or not. In a way it is okay and in a way it is not. I do know that Walgreens is getting rid of some of their managers so Walgreens, government is laying people off and some of the auto companies are going to 4 day work weeks. Then there are companies who are relocating here soon, Vanderbilt is renovating an old mall and once it is done it will have medical/office places in it.
You might want to look on monster.com and other job sites like that to see what all is available around here. I don't know of any openings.
Nashville is a great place.
Hi,
I will most likely be relocating from MN to Nashville in the next three weeks to work with the company I am currently employed with. I have been trying hard to find other positions and have had a hard time. I trully think the job market isn't that bad. I have noticed that if you live in another state and try applying for jobs outside of state it is harder; so if you are able to start off in any position and keep looking for other positions while in Nashville you should have better luck.
Just hanging out!
