Re: Can you recommend a jeweler?

  • Everyone in my family has always used Helzberg Diamonds.  We use the location in Escondido, and have always had a great experience with them.  I believe they have other locations in San Diego.
  • My jeweler is amazing! He actually does alot of work for Ben Bridge, but also has a small business of his own. he's like a 14th generation silversmith, and a 4th generation goldsmith. He custom designed my wedding band to match my vintage e-ring. His name is Anthony w/ Ask the Jeweler and he's up in Carlsbad. I don't have his card on me, but page me and I'll try and get the info.

  • The Diamond Source is awesome.  They have a (somewhat) new location in La Jolla (near Prospect).

  • I love my jewler! They are located in Mission Valley. Benjamin & Sons Jewlery. Located off of the 8 at Mission Center Road. They do all of their work on site and can create some beautiful pieces.

  • What type of metal?  If its gold or silver, you can pretty much take it anywhere in town but if its platinum there are very few bench jewelers in San Diego that are decent platinumsmiths.  I use a platinumsmith up in Orange for most of my stuff.  He also specializes in estate/antique jewelry repair.

If you want to stick to San Diego, go to the Diamond Source in Old Town.  Onsite bench jeweler and they do custom work.

  • I don't remember the name, but in the UTC mall next to Sees Candy is a jewelry store. My SIL's wedding set is from there, and her boss and several partners in her firm have had custom wedding sets made for their wives from there. Always looked amazing. Very skilled professionals. You should have no issue if all you're doing is getting your ring sized.
