Moms: Stroller recommendations please...

Hi girls - I have the baby bargain's book but its the 5th edition and I am not having luck on their website for current info...We decided on a graco infant car seat that goes up to 30lbs and the graco version of the snap-n-go.  Now we need to pick the next phase stroller and I want something in the lightweight category.  Ideally an adjustable handle, removable snack tray, washable liner and decent sized storage area are the features that come to mind as most important.  I also want to be sure it reclines as fully as possible and safety is key.

Any help navigating the madness that is baby stuff would be very appreciated!  TIA!

  • Well mine doesn't exactly fit your standards but I love it.  We have the Maclaren Quest.  I got it after our Graco snap'n'go as well.

It is lightweight.  The basket is decent sized for an umbrella stroller.  It is really easy to open and close.  It also goes up to 50 or 55 lbs.  The back wheels are also set at a diaganol so you aren't kicking them.  The handles are comfortable for me to push (5'7) or for DH (6'1).  It steers easily and turns pretty well.

  • I also have a Maclaren Quest and LOVE IT.

Very easy to use and travel with.  No parent cup holders, but you can get some universal attachments for that.

  • we have the Chicco Cortina. It's a little heavy, which is my only real complaint, but it's easy to manuever and rides nice and smooth. The handles are adjustable, and the seat reclines to flat, which is nice for changing the baby on-the-go. The snack tray pops right off (again, handy when you have to change the baby in the stroller). I like the "console" at the top --it has a cup holder and a storage area with a flip-up lid, so you can store your keys and whatnot, and it can also fit a second cup.
  • We just got the Graco Travel system. In the Deco design. I love it! We used the snap n go until recently now we take him out of the carseat. It's a little bulky but it fits in our Corrola trunk so it works for us :)
