Circuit City Closing Stores
The talks to try and find a buyer failed so now they are closing all their stores. I made the mistake of telling DH so now I am sure he'll anxious to keep tabs on their tv selection...especially since one of our friends works there part time.

I am sure that we will be taking a trip to Circuit City in order to get a new laptop. DH jokes that I drop kicked ours (I accidentally hit the screen with my foot), and the two latches holding our screen to the keyboard broke
Our ottoman is currently propping up the screen...so sad.
On a more serious note, however, we live in Richmond, and it's really bad news for a lot of people that live here. There are several companies headquartered in Richmond that are having trouble (Genworth, LandAmerica, MeadWestvaco), and this just makes the job market in Richmond even worse.
Yeah, definitely another sad times of the economy.
I thought about the tv options too but I worry about not being able to have warranty access then.
Channel 8 News last night said that when liquidation companies come into stores they first raise the prices on everything to the manufacturer costs and then slowly take discounts.
If anyone is looking for big TVs, we have purchase our last 2 TVs from Walmart and have been very pleased.
