So it was really weird - Ethan and I were packing up the walk in closet this morning and we came across our "baby tote" and I was going through it and re-folding clothes and re-organizing the toys and music we have already bought and all fo a sudden he goes "we don't have names!" I just looked at him. No, we don't have names. I was very confused about this statement... he wants a family - but not until he has fully transitioned (which I understand, then we can move and he can be stealth) this was a huge shocker to me - my plan has always, always, always been college grad by 20 first kid by 21, and 1 every 2 years like clockwork... well we agree to have one baby this year (get pregnant last) and then not have anymore for 4 to 5 years. I conceived and we miscarried. We tried again about 8 months later, same thing. So knowing I need to have fertility treatment and very, very close monitoring we have agreed it is in the best interest of our relationship and future babies to wait until I'm about 27. Fine. So on that note (now that you have background ha) we don't talk about kids because it makes me cry. A lot.
So we started talking baby names and these are the four we came up with...
Boys:
Jonathon Pierce Stewart-Foss
Paul Avery Stewart-Foss
(Both first names are Ethan's brothers, Jonathon passed away when he was 6 months old and Matt (Mathew Paul) is very supportive of Ethan)
Girls:
Abigail Rae Stewart-Foss
Lillianna Kristine Stewart-Foss
(Kristine is Ethan's birth middle name - and I love it so he agreed we could use it!)
What are the names you have chosen? Any special meaning for them? Just curious....
Re: Baby Names?!
Collin Scott Rohret
Ava Louise Rohret
Tristan Bronx Rohret
Tegan Emma Rohret
Isabella James Rohret
and Julie LOVES the name Anastasia. I'm so/so about it. We both LOVE the others. I've always wanted a girl w/ the middle name James.
I love the name anastasia I just feelkind of obligated to give my children (at least the girls) somewhat androgynous names.... one of our good friends' names is James and she loves it
I think that's a fantastic idea for a middle name. I told E I don't care who it is, boy or girl, I just want child who wants to dress up like a princess with me! lol. He just shook his head.
I really love the name Collin Scott... Its pretty.... lol.
Those are great names! How nice that you were able to discuss them.
We don't name share, but that is probably because we have only, in 5.5 years of togetherness, agreed on one name :-)
We have our first names Ella (S's grandmother's name) and Jack.
We are leaning towards Ella Grace (S's mom's middle name) which would give her the initials of EGG! S also likes Elizabeth for a middle name as it is her sister's name.
We have no middle names for Jack that we love. Thomas, Robert (my dad's name) and I like Henry but S does not.
So any thoughts for a Jack middle name are welcome.
What about Jack Parker? Or Jack Aidan... or Jack Adam.
E is partial to Aidan I just am not in love with it.
I really like the name Jack Henry.... its a strong name. Maybe overtime you can get it to grow on her ;-) That's what E is trying to do with the name Aidan... he tells me I should love the name 'cause it's one of the littler boys on jon & kate + 8 and I love that show LOL... lame reason but it's cute he's trying.
Sam - We've thought about the name Jack too. Mostly because our monogram is jAk. :-)
Boys - K like Timothy but I strongly dislike it. However she has her reasons and I think I'll lose that battle.
Girls - Paige
our first born will either be Jacob or Brooke.
other name we like and would consider for middles or a second child are Logan, Kyle, Lucas, Ava/Avis (andrea's mom's name), Grayson and I loooove Benjamin as a middle for Jacob but Andrea's not sold

We have some family names in mind for middle names (they're a tradition on C's side, and I'd love to honor my dad/sister in that way), but we, like Duchess and Mrs. Duchess do not share names - it's possible we wouldn't even tell family until after a baby arrives. We do have our first boy name chosen - girl names we have a tougher time with.
Janet - I love how your monogram could be a baby name!
sahm ~ toddler breastfeeder ~ cloth diaperer ~ baby wearer
We have Grayson James (the Grayson is an anagram of Leanne's dad Gary - no way was I naming a kid Gary!) The James is for Jimmy Carter. And Carter Julian (we loved the name Carter and then decided we'd kinda do the whole Jimmy Carter thing) and then Julian for my dad.
If we'd had a girl, she would have been Emerson Grace (no meaning, we just loved it!) If we'd had two girls the second would have been Annabel (L's grandmother's name) Sarah (the nickname my grandfather had for my grandmother.)
