Cell phone providers

Our contract is up with T-Mobile and I was interested in maybe looking into other providers to see if we can find something cheaper with slightly better service. I have been using T-Mobile for 6 years now and have never had a problem with customer service. However, lately it seems that we have been having a lot of dropped calls or areas around town and while we are traveling where we dont get any service.?

Who is your provider, do you like them, and what kind of plan do you have? Thanks

Re: Cell phone providers

  • I have AT&T and coverage is pretty good. I get 450 anytime minutes + 5000 night and weekend minutes w/rollover for $39.99/mo, but I think we got a 5%-10% discount b/c of DH's company's deal w/AT&T. Our work phones switched to Sprint a few months ago & I haven't had problems with their coverage either, but I can't speak to their pricing or customer service. I used to have Verizon when I lived here a few years ago, but the customer service got really awful, so I switched.

  • I had Verizon for years and years, and was really satisfied with the service - the coverage was really great when I travelled as well. I've recently switched to Sprint, as I have some family members that work there, so I get the super insanely cheap plan.
  • We use Sprint mainly b/c all of our family does so we can go with a low monthly plan b/c of the sprint to sprint minutes are free!! :) We like our coverage...at first our old phones were crap for service in our house after we moved in but once we got our new ones this last Spring, we haven't had any issues.

  • Oh, to add one more thing...Sprint gives us a discount for Brett working at the hospital (when we started with them) and now b/c he is fire. Josh might get something for being police!!
