A possible relocation may be in our future. Please recommend nice areas to live around Green Bay within 45-60 min. where dh's job may be. Where would you recommend? What do you know about the area and what are some highlights/drawbacks?
Re: Tell me about WI
i don't know where you are from but people don't really commute 45-60 minutes to work in Green Bay. its not that kind of a city.?
Actually, his job would be in Franken. So where would be a nice area to look a home to buy or rent? Appleton looks great and everything that we're looking for (from what I've seen online) but dh says it's too far.
I agree - you wouldn't really have to go much farther than Green Bay to "commute". Appleton might be kind of far, although I'm not really familiar with how you'd get to New Franken from Appleton except via Green Bay anyway. LOL
Green Bay's an alright town... it's definitely not "big city" feel, and the nightlife can be a little on the low side. However there are several areas with lovely homes for very reasonable; just be careful to look at what school district you'd wind up in. From what I've heard, the East side schools are very overcrowded and they haven't found a solution to that yet.
