Dress Designer
Anyone know of dress designers in the area? I'm looking here too. I need a cocktail dress not a mardi gras gown (if that makes a difference).

I'm sure you have looked or don't want too, but my suggestion is dept. stores or bridal stores.
Actually, my friend's mom is a dress maker, but she designs for the balls and other Mardi Gras stuff. If you need something after Mardi Gras, I can ask my friend if she's not busy.

I thought it was a good idea too, and apparently so did someone else since there is something like that on the market. Oh well. I responded to her post, I think she's kinda cowardly for XP without saying something. Especially since others thought it was a good idea too. I mean I DO say stupid things at least quote me for one of those
I would like your friends info. It is after mardi gras, not needed until April. I also have to say, I can't WAIT to go to a m.g. ball.

What about Prom dresses? My DD & friends are looking for a modiste to make their dresses. My Mother used to be in the trade, but gave it up after back surgery.
