I was on BMV website but can't find what I am looking for which is strange. Do you have to get your car inspected yearly in the state of Indiana? TIA!!!
Re: Car inspection question
emissions. It's particularly bad for older cars that don't have catalytic converters. I'll be more than happy to give an environmental science lesson if needed :P
Elisabeth,
It's not just admissions- in a lot of states (PA for example), they do a seperate emissions inspection, but you also have to pass an inspection of the working order of the vehicle- it has to pass that all lights work, all breaks, a maximum amount of rust is allowed before a vehicle will be denied, etc- when you have an older car, it can be frustrating
(I stressed every time I had to have a car inspected when I lived there because I was always driving a bomber).
OH...LOL I know about that. I have always referred to it as emissions, never "inspection"
I'm confused. OP was told that she did not have to get emissions in IN, but after your car is so many years old, you do have to get emissions ever other year.
