Appleton area ladies

Do you know what the big block of bars in one building is called? It is across the street from a hotel. I've been there twice for my husband's work parties with his previous job and don't know if there is a name for the entire building or if they are all separate? I seem to remember being able to leave one bar and take my drink with me from bar to bar? One bar was a dance club I think??? My friend would like to look into it for a bachelorette party but I have no idea how to look it up for her.

Thanks!

Re: Appleton area ladies

  • I've never been myself, but I think the name you're looking for is "Park Central" .. there are a few bars all in the same building, and one of them is a karaoke bar.. I feel like someone said it isn't as popular now as the hot spot that it used to be, but like I said, I've never been..

    HTH!

  • Yes, back in the day it was called park central.  It's obviously been awhile since I've been there, so I'm not sure how popular it is now.  There was a club across the street from there called "Route 66" that we loved going to, not sure if it's still around.
  • Thanks! I need to update my pictures.

Ok thanks. It has been about 3 years since I've been there :(

  • Park Central is GONE?  Obviously I've been gone too long...that was the coolest place to hang out when I was in college.

  • PP's are right, it's called Park Central. And Route 66 is still in existance, but the name has changed I believe. Either way, you can't go wrong with a bachelorette party on College Ave. There are a ton of fun places.

    Ahh, brings back memories....good times!

  • I didn't know Park Central was gone; it was there last time I was downtown Appleton.  We still enjoy going there - it seems like it's less of a meat market atmosphere than Wet (just a few doors up); the "Flashbacks" bar downstairs is fairly fun - you see everything from 60-year old couples dancing to people that are just having fun because the music is the fun stuff from the 80s-90s!
