Been to the Asian Festival?

I'm looking for an event to particpate in to celebrate Chinese New Year.  I've never ever been to the Asian Festival at Institute of Texan Cultures.  Anyone been?  If so, do you have to pay for food inside or is that free with admission price?  Or do you get a certain amount of tickets to buy food or what?

We went last year. You have to pay to get into the festival, and for the food, but you go to a little stand and buy tickets, then use the tickets for food. My son is Korean, so we try to go every year to an Asian festival of some sort. He never "gets" it though. He just likes to go and ride the rides or play games they have there. It is cool though, we watched some different dance demonstrations and other entertainment. It's fun, we plan on going this year too!?

Mojolove, that's great that you take him!  My DH is 1/4 Chinese but not a lick of Chinese culture was passed down to him or his siblings.  So i'm taking it upon myself to make sure that when we have children they be more educated in both their Mexican & Chinese cultures.  Even though we don't have kids yet, we always celebrate Chinese New Year in our own little way each year.  thanks for your info!  That tells me I need to take plenty of ca$h!
