Hi ladies - Q about Webster Uni
Hello! I am somewhat new to this area, and I'm looking to start an MBA program. The one at Webster seems to meet all of my needs (online + classroom, not outrageously priced, etc). Do any of you know people who went to Webster? I had never heard of it before moving here and I want to be sure it has a good reputation before committing to it.
Thanks in advance!
Re: Hi ladies - Q about Webster Uni
I would advise you not to go there. I would say it is kind of a waste of time and money. Working in the businesses I have, the vibe I get is that the employers in the area know it is an easy program and therefore don't hold it as high as a degree from other schools in the area.
Just a thought.
Webster is an excellent school. As an HR person, I just wanted to encourage you to check out what opps they offer after graduating from whatever program you decide.
Additionally, get as much experience as you can BEFORE you complete the degree wherever that may be..that can help be a deciding factor when interviewing.....
Thank you for the advice. I have decided to pursue it. The MBA program is accredited, and my employer is friends with the chair of the business school and highly respects him.
Having spent (and still paying) around $100k for my undergrad at a snooty private school, this is a change, but that doesn't mean it's a bad one! I can pay for this out of pocket without incurring any debt. BIG plus. I had several regrets about spending so much $$, especially because to many interviewers, alma mater is not by any means the most important factor.
