Who knows something about Elk Township?

Dh found a beautiful and we *hope* affordable house there, but we know nothing about the area.  The house is right on the border of Mullica Hill/South Harrison.

tia!

Re: Who knows something about Elk Township?

  • I live in Franklin Twp., which is next to Elk. From what I know, there are some really nice parts of Elk, esp. in the area you're talking about... a lot of land, pretty quiet. I would recommend riding past the house and through the neighborhood before you even make an appt. to see the house. GL!
  • I really like Elk Township, it's quiet and open with lots of land. Away but still within a easy distance from big box store suburbia. There are a few developments and new homes that look really nice. I would definately do a drive by to see if you like the neighborhood.

  • If it's where I'm thinking of, you'll be in a great spot for getting on 322, 55 and the turnpike.
  • thanks girls!  we have driven through the neighborhood, and the area already.  We have been through the house already 2x.... I just think it's too good to be true....

Eva... it's exactly where you are thinking.  Right by Ferrell Road and Bridgeton Pike.

  • I agree with Eva. I think it's a good area.

Is it Kingsway School District or Delsea?

  • Delsea..... is that good or bad?
  • I think th area is great.  Plus you have easy access to big stores and all the main highways.

  • I think Delsea is fine. Plus, Elk Twp has it's own elem schools. One of my friends in HS had 2 parents that taught at Delsea for years and liked it.

I was just curious b/c you said it was on the border of South Harrison, which would be Kingsway (same district I live in).

  • Don't do it!!!!!!!!!! LOL, just kidding. I'm currently at my in-laws about 25 minutes west of there (I use the Ferrel exit to get to 55).Where I am is complete stix. Elk is very close to 55 so you'll have access to stuff, just don't expect anything around the corner. I'm sure you can get plenty for your money, just really consider the schools, taxes and what kinds of development the town is planning.  Good luck!
