What would you wear to this?

I called a local advocacy organization that's hiring a bunch of part time people to do canvassing and other stuff to try to get Prop 8 overturned or on the ballot in 2010.  They are basically just starting to staff up and need a bunch of bodies. 

I'm supposed to meet with them tomorrow.  The guy on the phone said to dress casual and that they had a very informal environment.

I don't really even know what they are hiring for and haven't even applied for anything.  They just told me to bring my resume in and we'll chat.  I imagine they just need people to go door to door and collect signatures and stuff envelopes.  I'm thinking it'll just be an easy, fun way to earn a little bit of extra money and meet some new people.

What should I wear?

Khakis, shirt with a collar? That way you're not 'dressed up', and you won't be out of place with the people there.

Khakis are always good for casual and yet look nice. Depending on the weather you could do a sweater or button up shirt.

Khakis and a polo if it's hot, button up if it's warm, twinset if it's cool, button-up under a sweater if it's cold.

Black pants, a sweater, and comfy shoes would also be good. That is pretty much my standard work outfit.

Ok, that's what I figured.

I don't have any khakis, but I do have a pair of gray wool pants that aren't super dressy.  I think I'll wear those with a sweater or blouse.

When I think of khakis and polos I think of employees at best buy. ?Or other generic retail places. ?Khakis and a thin sweater or knit v-neck thing doesn't do that to me. ?Or since you don't have those, what you mentioned sounds fine.
