How often do you run the cleaning cycle on your oven?

I'm really hoping I'm not going to look like a total slacker here but I realized I haven't run the self clean on my new oven since we've had it and we got it in late Sept 2007

It's already on my Spring cleaning list for a day before it gets to warm out and when I'll be home for the entire day.

Um, never   I bought my house in 2006 and have yet to clean my oven. Guess I need to add it to my to-do list as well!

We've only ever ran it once in the 5 years we've owned it.  I try to wipe down the inside of the door often and clean up any huge messes as soon as possible to prevent it from getting really bad. 

Personally, I'd much rather use Easy-off or some other type of oven cleaner instead of using the self-clean feature.  I don't think it really does that great of a job considering the amount of time it takes and fumes it creates.

We've used ours twice since August 2007.  It has worked really well for us both times.

We haven't run it yet. I want to though. We moved in in June and I would like to do it soon. I've never done it before. We didn't have it in our apartment so we always had to do it ourself.

Funny you should post this, I was just saying to DH last night that we need to clean the oven.  This might be bad, but we bought it almost four years ago and we've never run the cleaning cycle.  It's honestly never needed it before.  I think I just don't use the oven as often as other people and most of what I put in isn't all that messy.

Our vintage double-ovens don't even have the self-cleaning feature.    I'm fairly sure that they are original to when the house was built because my grandma has the same model in her house.  We do plan to replace the range at some point.  I'm kind of hoping it just breaks this year while we still have the home warranty, but I doubt we'll be so lucky. 

The oven in our apartment also was too old for the self-cleaning feature and 1970's harvest gold color (along with the other appliances).

Someday, I will have modern kitchen appliances.

I don't like the self-clean option on ovens.

I hand-clean once a month or so.

Never used the clean cycle on either of the ovens we've had.  Wastes too much electricity, and I can do a better job myself.  We've cleaned our oven once (last month) since we moved to our home a year ago.  But we use foil a lot, to cover and prevent drips/spills.
