I'm not too bad today, just have a headache. I'm not looking forward to the meeting this morning with my boss and his boss to express how I feel about training an idiot!
Plans: Work, Chiropractor Apt, then finally home!
Dinner: Tuna Helper (fast and quick, due to Eric having a meeting at 6)
Random thought: Should I look into buying baby stuff (on sale, clearance, craigslist) if the price is right? Or would that be jinxing myself?
Crystal: good luck on the meeting! Remember to keep your tone very respectful. It might help to write out your thoughts beforehand. Tell them what your job entails (most bosses have no idea), what you need knowledge in and how hard it would be to have someone do the job without it. Perhaps focus on what the company would be lacking if the candidate can't do the job quickly/correctly.
HAHA! Keep poking fun! It's not going to be so funny, if it happens!
Furniture and car seat - I would want new, but I was thinking more along the lines of things like bouncers, toys, pack-n-play, strollers and so on.
As far as the meeting goes - I have ammo. I have written a log for each day I trained him. What we did and how he did. And my thoughts. Along with a detailed list of everything that I do. So, hopefully I can keep my cool and be professional about it.
It will be funny as long as it's not me! lol
Will you be having any baby showers? A lot of people like to buy that stuff for showers. That's been my saving grace: I don't want to buy too much and end up with a bunch of receiving blankets and piggy banks b/c I have no registry!
Nothing exciting going on at my office.
Dinner will be some kind of white fish veggies and rice
Random thought...I am going to partcipate in the Lansing Polar Plunge for the 5th year in a row. I'll post more details about it later.
I have 3 classes today. I'm learning southern dialet in my theatre voice class, so that should be fun. I think we're watching Oh Brother where art thou today. I have way too much to get done at home though...I'm behind on homework and the apartment is such a mess.
We have nothing in the house to eat lately, so we've been going out way too much...not sure what will end up happening tonight. Last night ended up being Jimmy Johns and the night before was Taco Bell.
Random thought...less than a month until Valentine's Day and the Jeff Dunham show at Bresline!
Today is great! Will probably go to the gym when DH gets home from work and maybe to the grocery store as well. Tonights dinner will be pork chops and probably green beans.
I don't think I bought any baby stuff until I was around 23 weeks? But I was super paranoid. It was even hard for me to accept stuff before then.
I'm doing good today. I'm feeling better so I went to my mom's group and to Target. It was fun. For the rest of the day I'll be taking a nap, going to the chiropractor, to Lowe's/Menard's to get a whole house humidifier and then dinner. We are making scalloped potatoes, ham and peas for dinner.
Crystal- Yeah, I agree with the other girls about waiting to buy stuff. I got a TON of stuff at my showers so we really didn't have to buy too much. Plus, with you having that many showers.... it will probably be best to wait.
Leesa......what time should I be over for dinner?! That is one of my favorite meals:)
I am home with a sick baby:( Doing better today, mostly just whiny and clingy. We took a 1.5 hour nap in the recliner together.
dinner is baked chicken, broccoli/cauliflower with cheese, and wild rice.
I'm so happy there's only one more day until the weekend. I've had meetings like crazy the past few days and just want the week to be over.
Random thought...tomorrow is "Suits and Sneakers" or something at work. For a minimum $5 donation we can wear tennis shoes all day at work and the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. What a good excuse to be comfy all day for a great cause.
